This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.

If you have a strong command of grammar and clean writing you can do well in copywriting, copyediting, technical writing, etc. There's always solid demand for someone that can distill complex ideas into plain English. If you get into advertising, copywriting can be a particularly solid career path.
But unfortunately, a lot of English degrees these days let students down by going light on technical skills and heavy on theory mumbo jumbo. So you can get English grads that can't even write clearly—and those are the ones who are well and truly fricked.

I didn't watch the whole thing last week, very depressing and hard to listen to with the voice stuff mtfs do, this one in particular needs more practice with it imo.
From what I remember –
Married early twenties, transitioned after marriage, if I understood it right, then the wife divorced him
Going for a PhD in Shakespeare in a combined masters/phd program, I'm not certain about the details. He thinks he can get some sort of professor or job running a writing center "easily" because he interviews well
Got very arrogant about his education choices when Caleb presses him on what he actually plans to do, repeatedly says "we come from different worlds" or something along those lines
At one point Caleb asks him whether the surgery was necessary or whether the massive amount of stuff he bought on amazon following it was, I don't remember which it was
