Societal common decency as a whole continues to dissipate, and is greatly bleeding into apartment living.

I wholeheartedly agree with your irritation, as I have been dealing with several above-average noise issues in my place, from all sides.

It has become increasingly worse year after year, and having lived in the same unit for nearly 10 years, I can tell what's excessive and what's to be expected. This is not normal.

No, it's practically been the same over time because BIPOCs hardly change, /u/tomtomdotcom85.

Its getting worse because mexicans and indians are flooding into the US and are just as bad.

Mexicans and Indians arent any worse. Everyone is just so used to the black community they dont notice how much worse it is when they move in next door.

Tbh I think Mexicans might actually be even louder than black people on average, but at the same time they're usually more amenable to quieting down a bit if you say something (rather than just turning up the volume even more out of spite)

I once lived in fourplex (one of the units got split in two, so fiveplex) that had east indians (two sisters and their grandma), a mexican family, a phillipeno family, and a white guy with a chinese wife. Me and my roommates were by far the loudest people. We used to do blow and play Guitar Hero lol.
