I'm so frickin sorry dude. 2023 was a bad year for rdrama pets. I hope 2024 isn't as bad.

Had to put down my 15 year old girl last year. It's frickin traumatizing to watch. Just remember that you gave her an amazing life. She's in a better place now, and you did her a kindness. Stopping her suffering is another act of love.

Another dramatard was kind to me too and it made me feel better when he told me to list a few good things you remember about her. Why don't you list them for us?

Some of my favorite things?

When she was still able to get up on the bed, we would nap together on the weekend. She would start out as the little spoon, and then turn over and put her face on the pillow right next to mine and make happy groans (like a cat purring).
She was not a gassy dog, but every now and again she would audibly fart. Every time it would startle her and she would glare at her butt like it did something wrong.
I had a cat originally when I got her, and she wanted so badly to be friends. She would do tricks for the cat to try to please her (never worked).
She observed that the cat rubbed against the wall constantly, and figured she should be doing it too. There is a dirt racing stripe along the hallway because she would mimic that behavior every time she got amped up. I gave up trying to keep cleaning it, and would only do it right before bath time.
She hated the wind. I called it "the wind monster" whenever a storm would roll in. She was super spooked indoors and outdoors, and would freeze and stare around at literally nothing, just because the wind was blowing.
She had a love/hate relationship with garbage/recycling trucks. They were monsters too, but at one point, I had a neighbor she adored who worked for the recycling company. It was very confusing for her to try to avoid the garbage monster on walks, but then see her BFF come out to give her pets and scritches.
I just remembered something she did as a puppy. When lawn sprinklers would come on during early morning walks, she would bark and yip at the sprinkler while bouncing around playing with the water spray.
