Never say it's for kids unless you are making literal baby content. YouTube will do that automatically sometimes and it will kill the video. For some reason they designed for kids as ONLY for kids and exclusionary less reach, lower pay, fewer features. You never want to have a video labeled for kids afaik.

I think it's one of the stupidest design decisions ever. You would think for kids means it's kid friendly and gives it more reach but no. I assume it has to do with paranoid lawyers or something.

Anti libertarian measures, or at least the appearance of them. No comments for children's content means no explicit place adults can go find children to chat and solicit. One less vector to police and something to stick on the plausible deniability board.
