Night Court - Actually really funny sitcom about a court that deals with weirdos and their crimes in the middle of the night. Highly recommend. Make sure you get the real thing, not the remake that's on now.
Rockford Files - A typical private detective show from the 1970s except it's really really good. Good writing and James Garner is perhaps the ultimate chad of all time.
Married With Children - Sitcom about a family that's... the kind of family a dramanaut comes from. Kind of a live-action precursor to the Simpsons. Early seasons are very good.
Miami Vice - Cop show set in Miami during the batshit insane years when huge amounts of cocaine and money were flowing through there. Very well made. The production values and general giving a shit about quality are more like a movie than a TV show. Made by Michael Mann who would go on to be the greatest film director of all time.
Hawaii Five-O - Cop show. Good writing. Filmed in exotic locations. Hawaii back then is an interesting setting.
Sanford and Son - Sitcom about a cranky old black guy and his son who's got more modern attitudes.
