He's talking about tariffs on cars. The sense I'm getting is that most people immediately jumped at the word bloodbath and only watched the 17 second clip that's circulating. Why watch the whole clip when watching the 17 second clip confirms people's biases and allows them to go on a frenzied tirade against Trump? I get that people love to hate on Trump, but if you do it without thinking you're making the kind of errors his fans do.

It's obviously an aside from that point. But the fact that he says a bloodbath for the "whole country" and that the Chinese cars are "going to be the least of it", he's obviously not talking (only) about the automotive industry.

I had checked it out a couple weeks back for an argument. Adjusted for inflation, a base model 2023 Camry is about 20% cheaper than a base model was back in 1998.
And of course, a Camry today is considerably bigger with a lot more features as standard equipment.
