I didn't play football, but the assistant football coach had to teach classes in order to have a job at the school. So they had him teach s*x ed. The worst possible choice. This guy was the exact opposite of Buzzcut from Beavis and Butthead.

He could barely bring himself to say these words out loud. His face would get all red and he would start stammering. I've never met anyone less suited for that job. But hey, he's the assistant football coach so we gotta find a way to pay him. :marseyshrug:

Ours taught typing, meaning he read the paper while you did Mavis Beacon. I'm not sure he was literate, because he read it for all 7 class periods.

mine wouldn't let me play just because my hand was broke. :hmph:

also one year in high school our coach left to coach the rival team so the students section came up with a chant that has stuck in my head for years

HEY rival school name GO BACK TO THE STICKS. YER COACH IS A TRAITOR, YER TEAM IS ALL HICKS.

we were the :quote: town :quote: school. they were the :quote: country :quote: school.

good times.

Mine was bulky with a receding hairline and a non-nonsense attitude. The kind of guy who would probably be shredded if not for the copious amount of beer and red meat I assume he consumed every day.

He was also detested by the other teachers for refusing to strike with the rest of them. And when they did strike, he would yell at them to get back to work and call them bums every day.

He was a good man lol.

Different football (Aussie) but he used to tell us to use our perennial vision, and that pain was just weakness leaving the body. Rolled around with a 50-pack or two of ciggies in his sleeves too.

i never had a stereotypical coach at any level, but my hs coach was weird af. he was an sec lineman who got old and fat. he had several fat rolls on the back of his neck. he used to carry around 2 liters of dr pepper like they were bottles of water. he literally told us to rub dirt on injuries. that part was as stereotypical as it gets.
