Global technology peaked under the west.
Currently the US and the Chinese systems are two separate attempts to determine which is the best system to build the next step in the ladder that is the prosperous future of humanity.
You cannot mix the two because they are two separate answers to the same question, and only one of them is going to turn out to be right.
The American answer is to return to 2010s America in terms of personality. The Chinese answer is to triple down on neo-mercantilism.
In either case, we are found that 2020s level of Western "democracy" doesn't work and that human rights have to by the end of the day be limited by whether the country will survive their expansion.
Personally, I am putting my money down on the Chinese winning at the end, as the US innovation has stagnated because of them constantly hitting the throw more smart people at it button for every single problem instead of finding better methods of doing things.
The US no longer suffers the kind of scarcity or competition that breeds innovation. Only China is in that position today.
