r/politics is :marseycope: that the average burger liked Trump's Congress speech :soyjaktantrum:

I think many Dems didn't watch it. I didn't. I'm just watching the recap. That said, if the polls are true, our country is full of gullible idiots who don't know they're being lied to.

They literally have a poll in it saying it's mostly Republicans / independents watching

I wanted to add more quotes, but this here is the whole comment section :marseyshrug:

why does this sub spam random articles about heavily biased polls? these polls are useless and rarely if ever represent a balanced pool of individuals of all demographics.

Yeah, because you cared about that when those polls showed Kamala winning...

He got more votes than any other president. Im not sure if he got more votes per capita though.

Apparantly washington got only 69 out of 137 votes very interesting

Back then each electoral voter had 2 votes so that the top vote getter would be president and the 2nd place would be VP

Washington got the maximum amount of votes, 69/69

It was a complete mess. They had to strategically place their 2nd vote for someone who they wanted but also had to make sure that 2nd place guy didnt accidentally become 1st place - often by throwing away their 2nd vote on a guy they knew would get no votes.

Uh, no. In 1788 he got 69 out of 69 electoral votes. In 1792 he got 132 out of 132 electoral votes.

she was only wrong by 16 points

Biggest doomer event for rightoids that election. Like every criticism of her results was couched in "She'd have to be wrong by like 15 points for this to be not bad for Trump" which shows how unlikely it seemed. /r/fivethirtyeight creamed itself for days and (non-Selzer) polling was declared dead. The other polling companies ended up spending that week scrambling utterly befuddled on how their results were so far away from the trends the "Queen of Iowa" was suggesting would happen.
