They already had the C5 for $1.8m. How many rich people actually want this? Sure lots of poor people are desperate to move to America and drive doordash for more than they made back home, but rich people don't want to pay US taxes.
if you can afford a $5m picture of trumps face then I doubt that getting visas etc is much of an issue in the first place, plus there's probably cheaper avenues to a lard passport
it sounds like nothing more than a dumb gimmick to make his dumb supporters clap and think he's doing something
Third worlder passports are shit, getting a visa is annoying as well, even if you can afford it.
I personally have not bought citizenship somewhere else, but I do have clients and friends that have for the two pronged purpose of tax evasion and getting a second passport for a lot of reasons, like say you want to go somewhere without needing a visa or maybe you have been forced to surrender your passport to the authorities, but you can use your ID to enter another mercosul country and then leave with your foreign passport.
This last part probably doesn't apply for a lot of people though.
And I don't know if there's a cheaper option to pay for burger citizenship, if there is, yeah this is useless.
This might be surprising, but there are a lot of rich third worlders that do have 5 million to spend in a foreign citizenship. It's an asset or an investment more than a novelty.
But if this is an extra expensive version of some that already exists it's pretty stupid.
huh? murica is the best place to live if ur rich. no worry about goberment, rule of law so you cant get thrown out windo, you can live in a community with no crime, easy access to other rich folk, and the list goes on and on.

yeah but we're talking about having 5m of spending money, not a net worth of 5m or even 10m. the same rules do not apply

5 Mil is more than most CEOs of European companies would even want to do
, you might get a few saudi princes or russian oligarchs
Not to mention those rich ceos could get in way easier through moving a part of their company to the US rather than pay 5mil cash

there's 58 million millionaires worldwide, and 8.4 million individuals with a net worth of $5 million or more.
Not all of them are liquid enough but it'd only take 20k of them doing it to bring in $1 trillion (average biden budget)
the C5 visa had way too many strings attached and most of those rich guys are too lazy to game the system just for a visa

A massive % of that number (if true) will first of all be US citizens in the first place
Then that will include every boomer who owns a house, half the property owners in London are "millionaires"
