Make FDA approval contingent on fair pricing, simple as. That's kind of how we do it in Germany. You can be allowed on the market based on standard checks for safety/efficiency, but if you price gouge, your drug is no longer covered by big government-associated healthcare programs, losing you the majority of the market by default.

We did that with the Alzheimer's drug that doesn't work, thankfully (FDA approved it but insurance won't pay for it). But most new drugs are worth their cost to someone, so you start denying coverage and people get mad at you for rationing care/death panels

pharma companies get shit loads of government subsidies in the fricking US. They should lose the fricking subsidie if they dont provide the fricking medicine at an affordable right.
