:marse#yspit:

That much? That is a huge difference from before.

I see their GDP has gone up 7x since 1992. Notice that everything started getting better there and in so many other countries around the world around the period 1988-1992. I wonder what could explain that? :marseysmug2:

This really changes everything. Before I didn't want illegal immigration but I understood how desperately poor these people were and how there was no economy down and it made them desperate. So I always said "How about we just fix stuff back in Honduras so they can get jobs there and aren't forced to come here?" Now apparently that has happened and these people are just running away from gangs.

Looking up random Air Forces bases is one of those things I do when I can't sleep, but I never heard of Soto Cano before.

Now the U.S. military uses Soto Cano as a launching point for humanitarian aid missions throughout Honduras and Central America.

Oh, that's why. Those poor bastards living under our imperial yoke. If another hurricane like Mitch comes along, the gringos might even demean them by delivering food and water to those who need it most.

There's been research that actually as developing countries get richer they try and move to the west even more.

Both levels of analysis confirmed the existence of an emigration lifecycle: Emigration rises along with rising incomes at first, only falling at much higher incomes.

Makes sense. The ones who need it the most are the ones who can't afford the trip. :marseydoomer:
