Vance, I think, mentioned that Murica should consider severing ties with the MI6 too, due to the new Apple backdoor law :marseyderp:

but the UK are historically the best codebreakers on the planet, they're too useful to toss aside

as i understand it a lot of firms would try to hire russian programmers bc since soviet russia when computers first came out, programmers werent given unlimited time on working on an actual computer bc things were scarce under communism. Bc of this they would tend to always attempt to create the most effiecient code possible and on paper first so that when they got the hour a week or whatevr on the computer they could actually test it do something with it in their alotted time. Programmers from western nations, while jist as well/better educated, had unlimted time at the computer/thier own computers and could spend time writing/testing/patching/troubleshooting their code at the comp. Due to this their codes stereotypically come out clunkier/less effienct by comparison.

Can we apply this same logic to their air force?

"Because Russian planes only have enough fuel for one mission a year, Russian fighter pilots spent their time on the simulator and paper air games. Unlike lazy western fighter pilots who trained on actual jets"

A flight simulator in the 80s/early 90s? I doubt the russians had that. Its also a poor comparison, bc learning to write code and learning to fly a jet are wildy different skill sets/learning processes. I assume youre trolling or that you dont understand how coding works. Also i didnt say tha western programmers were lazy, jist that their process for writing code evolved wildly different bc they had better computer access.

!glowies are very hesitant to use AI in what they do

the biggest issues are that they have to house and isolate the system from all other networks to control need-to-know access to data, and also they have to review and classify all data that it spits out
