They're so weak compared to 2017's anti-Trump protests too. I think it's because despite what they say outwardly, I think most people involved know deep down that none of these protests are going to actually change anything. They're more like social events now, concerned with signalling virtue more than accomplishing political change.

it's 8 years later...a lot of those youths are mid to late 20's now, with actual jobs and paying taxes...the only ones protesting now are retirees, or loser feds that lost their jobs...no one cares anymore...
"2017 drumph is hitler, 8 years later eh maybe he isnt as bad as hitler and we kind of jumped the shark"...

Also they're pretty much confined to metros where politically the people surrounding them agree with them or are indifferent. Also people in general really don't care about immaterial demands like "racial justice" or funding for Ukraine in Asheville.
It's like why libs are stumped that Joe Bob in flyoverville doesn't vote for gun control when red states have higher gun crime rates when in reality everyone in those states know which areas it's concentrated in, and it isn't in small town flyoverville.
