Bupropion is a weird one. It was originally approved as an antidepressant and the anti-smoking effects weren't discovered until a few years later when depressed people taking the drug spontaneously stopped smoking.
And it's an atypical antidepressant that has some weak stimulant properties (it's a NDRI, like Ritalin, rather than a SSRI) which means it'll reduce appetite and boost s*x drive (compared to conventional SSRIs which usually cause weight gain and sexual frigidity [this is the real reason zoomers aren't having s*x, more than half of the female ones are on SSRIs]).
