How do people sleep consistently??

I genuinely don't understand how people sleep on the regular. I'm not even remotely tired, ran 6 miles today and only slept 4h last night. Here I am at 1am debating with myself whether or not water is wet. Bro how the frick do people sleep? I feel like the earth should have 24h days and 8h nights. It's absolutely crazy out here.

I love sleep so much it's unreal. I sleep 7-8 hours per day. I wish I could sleep 9-12, that sounds just amazing.

I'm about 45 minutes out from the drunken peak at which point I will fall into a fitful nightmare-ridden sleep as is tradition

I find that if I don't have to get up at specific time I will stay up later and later and sleep later and later.

It's common. I used to sleep about one hour later every day - so after a week, I'd be going to bed 7 hours later than a week ago.

Important steps you can take:

Don't look at a phone screen or TV screen or computer screen for several hours before bedtime, UNLESS you adjust the 'color temperature' away from the blue shift towards the orange shift in color. Blue light wakes you up.

It's EXTREMELY important to sleep in a COOL room. About 9 degrees cooler than you like it during the day time.

And it's SUPER important to have a DARK room.
