I assume you're talking about the online game and it's just because it's a social kids game basically, kids love games where they can just sit around and talk to other kids.
Past ones being things like toon town, club penguin, habbo hotel, things like that. I assume it's just the "current" social kids game that kids latch onto and eventually it will die out when a different one comes.

People like it since there is a variety of games on it, created by fellow roblox players. The graphics have also been getting better, but young kids don't really care about graphics, they just want to play with friends and meet other kids around the world.
