The Prayer of St. Francis is a 20th century pseudonymous work but is quite beautiful:

I might have confused Francis with another writer.

There is another song whose chorus in Italian starts with "limpido dì qual pace avrem"

And I cannot remember who dun wrote it

It's in 3/4 time

The last line of the chorus is something like "l'eterna luce millennial'"

@Corinthian I haven't ever heard this one in English. It doesn't seem right, especially with the late modulation.
