After reading multiple books on the subject, Araps never treated their Jewish subjects with full rights and by both medieval and modern standards were oppressed. The only two exceptions where there was a Jewish “Golden age” was late Ottoman Empire (Anatolia Only) and Morocco, two caveats
Any “golden age” in Jewish history is always followed by a stage of oppression and pogroms, this is why Jews can't be entrusted to live under foreigner ruler
