I still believe that the reason that Israel finally acted against Hezbollah was because of the attack on Majdal Shams when the Druze were getting real rowdy on the Lebanon border. If Israel hadn't stepped up their war there was a chance of Druze IDF members going AWOL and forming militias to invade Lebanon. I recall at least one Druze IDF member showing up at the funeral and giving an impassioned speech where he said something like, "why have we allowed Beirut to exist?"
A few years ago Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Jenin killed a Druze kid and held his body hostage. Druze started acting real rowdy, kidnapping Palestinians, blowing up homes in the West Bank, and marching through the streets calling for blood. The PIJ surrendered the body after a day when they realized that the PA and the IDF were both coming for them and if they didn't succeed then the Druze militias would come for them.
And then there's the famous picture of an IDF soldier screaming and waving a baton over a beaten and bloody Palestinian man. In reality, that's a Druze policeman protecting a beaten and bloody American Jew from a Palestinian lynch mob.
Some Druze might not like Israel. Some clearly do (did you see the Israeli Druze convoy crossing the Syrian border a couple days ago to deliver aid to Syrian Druze villages bearing Druze and Israeli flags?). But I don't think any Druze like the Islamists.
