I was rewriting the website frontend in some shitty bootstrap to CSS

Unfortunately the project was cancelled due to Aevann. Aevann has stopped many actual site developments just because he wants rDrama to keep living

eventually it will all tumble and become unmanageable, features are already incredibly painful to add. How to fix it? Reject and decline everything progressive and kick everyone out :marseyseethe:

Iirc something about it took a while to resolve dependencies,

So when you download the drama source code you're supposed to just be able to do

This used to take like 30 seconds

And then when nodejs got added it took like 15 minutes because npm had to do w bunch of shit in the background installing the needful node packages

First of all, I'm just very lazy and don't often see something I'd like to improve about the site and can do it in a reasonable time. Node.js is annoying but definitely not enough to run me away.

But yeah like @scitzocel said, the site used to start up in literally below five seconds and then Cox added the fricking thing that spent 5+ minutes every time anything changed, and he didn't even use it for anything on the backend, it's strictly used to compile typescript to javascript, so it could be avoided by committing the generated js files to the repository, so that only Cox ever had to have node installed. At which point it felt like being on the receiving end of one of those deranged people who spread AIDS out of spite.

GumRoad (which they use to process donations) doesn't give rdrama the personal info or payment details of donators, all carp and Aevann can see is the email you link it to (which you also need to link to your drama profile to collect paypig benefits). So it's already kinda anonymous.

Gumroad is a kinda sus website tho so you can also use privacy.com for additional security.

The signup process for privacy.com is kinda sus, they make you send pictures holding ur passport up next to ur face. But once you have it set up it lets you generate virtual debit cards and keep them anonymous to the merchant.

So you get privacy.com to generate a new card

Then go to gumroad and put the card number in. You can use any name and address in the payment details field, you don't have to provide your actual info.

That makes it a lot harder to get doxxxed because both privacy.com and gumroad would need to be haxxxed for that to happen

You can also donate crypto; idk what the best way to buy crypto anonymously is these days ( @BTC discuss)
