As a Buddhist whose read the Gita I will say those parts are concerns from the guy making the questions to the god in question, which I believed were handwaved away as unimportant. Hindus believe in karmic merit and reincarnation. Probably at most 10% of the interviews I do are with actual American citizens, and this isn't due to some sort of bias with the recruiting pipeline. Yes, the pipeline is there and the talent sucks. The top talent from those schools will also be from immigrants or the children of immigrants anyways. We're hiring for jobs that pay 300k+ regardless of ethnicity, the idea that the pay isn't good enough to incentivize Americans does not pass the laugh test.
