Yeah, probably. Crimea is a weird geographic entity in that it was always traditionally populated by Turks, so the current population is made up of colonists brought in from the Russian heartland in the 19th century to establish control, and the original Turkish population was eventually deported. So the local population is all Russian, an important strategic asset, and a more important cultural one.

For Crimea yeah, they ain't going to leave Crimea. West wouldn't be able to give Ukraine anything that Ukraine doesn't have already as counter.
All the game changers as long range missiles were given to Ukraine because Ukraine is losing, those cluster ammo was given when they failed spring counteroffensive and Zelenskyy told its lack of cluster the fault, they then told they need more long range to fight helicopters and atacms was given then they told they failed in Kharkiv because they can't strike Russia. From all weapons Ukraine received only m777 was given before their Kharkiv offensive and since then they didn't captured single town or a city while now existing purely on western gear so Russia didn't had a reason yet to escalate by using nukes.
Also one of main reason they don't use it yet is because they are politically winning. Last year August there was Ukraine peace talk and BRICS (without Russia) took part of that talk. This year only India is going to send some no name and not even Biden is coming to Ukrainian peace talk. That means Ukrainian victory is out of the window

To be fair to our little third world wingcuck, Russia was always going to win. This was always a foregone conclusion, but nobody in the west expected Russia to have such an embarrassing performance at the war's opening. The Europeans, being inept and unserious as they are have decided that Ukraine can win, and are deluding themselves into wasting what little military capability they have into Ukraine in the hopes that they can expand European social democracy further east.
