Good. Russia is one of our biggest enemies and funding a proxy war against them is a priority.

The Ukraine issue was like the one subject TDS people were actually decent at genuinely hoping the right thing was done over the validating thing

Every post or tweet or news about this is full of comments from people who hate Trump and insist that Trump is lying or will change his mind about his support. Maybe it's just a doomed thing

Maybe I'm insane, but I don't think the Russo-Ukraine War is a good example of good statesmanship, or beneficial for anyone. Like, I wish that Trump had won a second term in 2020 so his aura of unpredictability in foreign policy would convince Putin to not invade.
Honestly, I'm not really a fan of any conflict that turns teenagers of either side into meat. Like war happens, and sometimes it's necessary, but if we had better (as in moral) AND intelligent government, that would be nicer for a lot of reasons. I understand that strategically it makes sense to bait and switch Russia into a protracted conflict, but man I have seen too many kids just blown into clouds of blood on fricking liveleak or whatever. (You can tell I'm not a WPD user.)

Testing weapons, weakening Russia and selling military tech are unfortunately too tempting to ignore. Ukraine messed up badly when it refused to lick America's boots for protection like the rest of Eastern Europe did after the fall of communism. Now they are sandwiched between NATO and Russia and without any defence treaty with any country, so the perfect target for these type of psycho schemes where they are forced to fight for others' profits
But there's a bright side here! Killing each other senselessly is in the slav nature so both ukros and ziggers are just following their instincts when they die en masse on some barren field in Ukraine

Yeah it's just tough to watch. Like I live a comfortable life, I see other countries and what they're going through and I just wonder what my life would be like had I been there. Like, yes you cannot and will not save everyone. And I recognize the economics of it where yes, this is a good trade for a brinksmanship tier play to weaken Russia, but even then the there are tradeoffs. Like driving the world's largest holder of natural resources into China's arms, forever.
But regardless, I'm not going to pretend here that I support war for war's sake. Seeing people turned into mist is a sad affair. That's someone's child. The soldier who fought and died on that battlefield was likely not there by choice by either side, and cares little about the power games of US vs RU. I think world peace is possible if we had stakeholders who didn't view conflict as an opportunity, but then I get into the optimism of human nature vs cynicism of human errors. But even then you know, nuclear weapons ironically might be the biggest guarantor of peace, at least until the US disproved it and pushed the boundaries of conflict management in international diplomacy over the hill.
I used to be pen pals with a guy in Ukraine. Hope he's ok. He was very nice. Awesome guy.

Wife is J-pilled, parents are open and never opposing to my distain for jews and my love of history and the NatSoc movement. Sister in law is bleeding heart liberal, but not extreme leftist still shuts down and won't talk when cornered in an argument against her beliefs.
Anyways, today somehow jews came up and WWII which got the comment "Hitler was the most evil man" my wife overhears, rolls her eyes, gets ready for the speech. I casually explain to my sister in law what the jews did to German people before WWII and why Hitler gained power, what he did for Germany, and how the Holocaust doesn't make sense and numbers don't add up.
I talked for an hour straight as she butted in with questions but sat quietly listening as you could see her face deeply question everything she's been told. After an hour she didn't freak out or shut down, just politely said "that's all I can handle on Christmas" and when we hugged goodbye she whispered "nazi" as I whispered "sieg heil" at the same time to each other and everyone burst out laughing.
That would have NEVER happened before. The fact it did means she is becoming much more comfortable with my views which I consider huge win.
Merry Christmas!
