Fix your title to:

Jewish woman chased by men and youth armed with clubs during the Lviv pogroms, 1941, USSR

or

Jewish woman chased by men and youth armed with clubs during the Lviv pogroms, 1941, when USSR occupied Ukraine.

https://media.tenor.com/n6OTqB38sioAAAAx/giggle-chuckle.webp

Both your titles are wrong so the main title. The pogroms were done in Lwów, Poland, when GERMANS occupied Poland. The pogroms were done by Ukrainians and Germans.

I think if you ask an old Ukrainian they'd tell you it was more like an occupation

Many Ukrainian were in high leadership positions and Ukraine was a very important part of the USSR .

Between here old Ukrainian:

But today Ukrainian Nazi problem is unique you see all the Nazis that survived the first year of fighting they stopped fighting they went to back stage position where they getting shit tons of money. Good example Wolves of Davinci

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Da_Vinci_Wolves_Battalion

Its leader told he will be an homosexual if he loses Kurakhove then neighbor got rich from donation money bought him self Rolexes started telling how Ukraine will lose, the moment Russian were approaching Kurakhove, left it with his boys.

This is prime example of Ukrainian nouveau riche Nazis.

And it's understandable, when you rich you stop giving frick about Nazi shit and nationalism. Why be in dirt if he can go to Maldives and bang some models ?

But fun part Zelenskyy don't understand that Nazis in Ukraine changed and yesterday he gave this interview

Before the interview started Zelensky was talking with that guy in Russian. (There multiple accounts, and Zelenskyy team is Russian speaking and they only speak Ukrainian when the cameras are on) Then during the interview he told to this Russian guy that he has no respect for Russian and Russian language. He sweared a lot. Then still talks about memorandum and guarantees like frick it's 2025 and he still drives that car. Memorandums have guaranties only if they are ratified and nobody ratified them and US even openly told it multiple times. And taking those 300 billions Russian assets will frick up western banking system for more than 300 billions. So this interview wasn't for westerncels it wasn't even for Ukrainian because 75% of them didn't understood why he acted like an r-slur.

It was for those ultra nationalists who will think it's cool that he swears on Putin and Russian and dehumanising them

Like those guys who he in 2019 told to remove weapons from some kind of protest and they laugh at him when he told them he is president of Ukraine.

But this interview in grand scale is low IQ move just like giga epic new counteroffensive offensive 2 days ago.

Like imagine Putin shows this interview to Trump and says look at this guy he is not only illegally on his current presidential position but he is clearly unhinged, he says he hate every Russian, how are we even supposed to talk to him ?

And don't forget Trump hates Zelenskyy, Zelenskyy cost him presidency in 2020 and put him into an impeachment and Trump team already hinting at an election for Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy also told Ukraine has 900k soldiers and basically don't need mobilisation or how they call it now in Ukraine Bussyfucation :marseyxd:

In 2023 December he told Ukraine had 1,4 million and didn't need to lower mobilisation age do get extra 500k soldiers

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1736217864i760fLHpXKxGzQ.webp

Ukraine will lower the mobilisation age no doubt about it when last week they told

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1736217864BT6DI2QccjEkeg.webp

So now before Feb 5 every man from age 18 to 60 if they have exception from military service have to redo it. It's clearly sign they want those guys to have fresh medical papers before lowering the age of mobilisation and then busificate them

The Myslovo Dictionary of Modern Ukrainian Language and Slang chose the word "busification" as the word of the year 2024. The neologism, which refers to forced mobilization under an accelerated procedure, was in the center of public attention last year. The term points to problems with mobilization, when quantitative indicators prevail over qualitative ones, and human rights (sometimes along with common sense) are put on the back burner

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1736217865Pux4e4wEs7ctkw.webp

And a lot of people didn't believed Zelenskyy words about 900k Ukrainian soldiers because it doesn't make sense that they are having KD of 10 and getting out numbered by opponent that has 2 times less man power

Julian anal ysis is always genius. Ukrainian have high morale because they protecting their country

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1736217865AVdvmH-GWDelsg.webp

Russian morale very low and that's why Ukrainian have many times more deserters.

But for real cross thousands miles to give interview to an pro Trump Russian boi and tell to his face that he hates Russian language and Russian

Asking you because you probably know the most, but did a similar scale of 'busification' happen with the drafts of Vietnam? Or prior to that even? How were draftees mobilized, and did it ever involve a similar level of violence?

Flattery will get you nowhere with me. :#marseyflirt:

I dunno WTF was going on in the civilian sector in South Vietnam. It's really opaque because journos were not interested and our troops didn't have much contact with them. On paper they had a million troops and they sure as heck didn't have a million troops in the flesh. There were clearly 1-A guys strolling around in Saigon. This not only gutted the ARVN, it destroyed morale among the American troops. Why in the frick are we getting drafted to fight for them when they won't draft their own people? It's dramatically different from Korea. Over there, by the end of the war most of the line was held by the ROK Army because they had well-trained, well-motivated troops who could replace Americans except in technical fields. To this day doing your national service is considered your rite of passage into adulthood. I dunno what the difference is between Korea and Vietnam but somebody should figure it out.

Old Man Redactor had very little contact with the population, [redacted] was in Cambodia, journos can't be trusted. If you want to know more you've gotta find some Vietnamese.

Oh, I was referring to American drafts in the Vietnam war, though what you noted about Vietnam conditions is rather interesting. Were Americans ever grabbed forcibly from the streets and sent to the front lines? Or were people trying to avoid mobilization generally just jailed?

:#marseylaugh:

Not sure if you're joking but for the sake of the foreigners: Draft dodging was rampant. This is one of the main reasons for the war bringing up so much animosity. Basically nobody who was from upper or middle-class families was drafted because they had a letter from their doctor about an obscure medical condition (Bush, Trump), college draft deferments (Biden, Clinton), and a few really well-connected boys got jobs as gigolos to dance in front of a camera (Al Gore). This is much different from earlier wars where the upper class felt it had an obligation to the people. JFK almost killed in a legit risky operation, his brother died in an incredibly risky operation. I dunno what happened. I guess Dr. Spock convinced them this was wrong.

One of the most iconic pictures of all time is Cdr. Spock holding up the newspaper that says "SPOCK ARRESTED" referring to the commie agitator Dr. Spock. Can't get it on Google anymore. Literal 1984 shit. This is something everyone in the boomer generation saw because it was really funny but Google's AI doesn't get it, so it's erased from history. And cockblocks a joke I was going to make.

:#marseyspock:

LLAP is all I can do. I shall consider it.

I wrote earlier that the main fault line in Korean politics is whether you're on the side of North Korea or America. That one is obvious. I would argue that this is when the boomer generation got their fault line.

There's a class that could dodge the draft. You could do it through college deferments. That's the boomers who run the Democratic party now. The Vietnam War is is not consciously in peoples' mind, just like the Korean War isn't in Korea, but this is which side you're on. The draft dodgers/realizing this was whole thing was r-slurred vs. the actual carrying out your responsibilities/maybe care more about dying kids than living in NYC.

I know about the draft dodging and all that shit, but genuinely, were draft dodgers who were actually caught and punished still sent to the front or just arrested and sent in prison? And did we see mobilization officers violently grab them out in the public? I'm aware of the general motions of it, but not the finer minutia.

Also, I'd advise against thinking your average American knows much about Vietnam besides that we didn't like doing it, there were jungles, and we lost. The state of public education is so bad that they barely cover it anymore, cramming it in a day or two as the teachers rush to finish the year. I don't think the average teen even knows about the Iraq war, as the war on terror doesn't even get covered in current curriculum.

My wife grandpa was a Korean War vet and mine was a world war 2 vet

The difference in my mind between the Vietnam and Korea was that Korea era soldiers felt they were robbed of the Nobel duty to serve. They were old enough to see the heroes come home but not old enough to understand what they want they. Where my grandpa and all his brothers/cousins fought in world war 2 didn't want that for their kids.

I never met my grandpa but grandma said I learned more about the war in school than she heard from him.

Oh yeah the Korean War guys really got screwed. They went through the same shit as the Vietnam vets except there was never any kind of backlash against it like with Vietnam. Everyone just kind of ignores them even today.

I never met my grandpa but grandma said I learned more about the war in school than she heard from him.

This comes up in conversations with my mom sometimes. The dumb b-word actually doesn't get how bad my dad had it over there because he's never in 50 years told her (or probably anybody except me) what it was really like.

I've had this conversation with a Vietnam vet boomer at the bar. He is a cool guy and just wants me to stop bothering him about the war. He said something along the lines of

'You don't want to go? Too fricking bad, we're coming for you'

I worked with Vietnam vet for awhile. He hated it. Definitely wasn't the following orders type. Big little feat and Alice In Chains fan, so we got along

Vietnam Vets can be cool as long as you know better then to ask them about their war experiences.

Worked pretty close with him. Basically just covered his job until he was old enough to cash social security. He would often nap on the job

He told me a lot of boot camp stories cause most of them were funny.

He did tell me he they were dug in and had to shoot their way out. He was like you know the scene forest gump. It was kinda like that, we were scared of the napalm landing on us. That never came but when they cleared the jungle or whatever, they found all the dead Charlie were no older than 15. "I never forgot it, no small part cause our CO gave us shit about getting in circled by a bunch of children"

More comments

Duane Allmam got drafted so he got black out drunk high speed and shot himself in foot. The next day drove to enlisting office told the recruiter he was cleaning his Commie killing gun and it popped off. Them was cleared of duty. Thus giving us the allman brothers band

My dad told me on nights during the draft lottery they of to go to bar to watch. It was the only night my WWII vet grandpa sent drinking money. The bar would cover the tab of anyone selected.
