Chelsea have sold like €250M worth of players this summer alone. And would likely sell more (Lukaku, Ziyech, etc...). Also, you have to remember that purchase prices are amortised over the duration of the contracts while sales are added immediately into the books. So Chelsea probably still have a lot of room to spend under FFP.

It was 90 + 10 that was our bid. We really shouldn't have let this go on so long but we shouldn't pay anywhere near what Liverpool are paying for him. Not sure what would be the plan now though.
And I don't get why everyone seethes at Brighton as a club, their fans are mugging us sure but that's what happens when you raid their club and still end up playing shit, Brighton as a club however hasn't done anything to deserve any scorn over, at least not to us.

Football fans are all insufferable on social media (especially Twitter). But I suppose that's kind of the point. Tribalism over something that's not "important".
Also, I don't think the saga is over yet. Romano have still held off on his "Here we go" and reports are coming out that Chelsea are going back in. It'd still be embarrassing though because the club is going to have to overpay majorly after sitting on their asses over £100M for months. Pretty spicy drama for a player transfer tbh.

Who in their right mind would join Chelsea at this point? They're stuck with a shit squad, no european football, unproven (at Chelsea) manager, questionable finances and generally poor prospects to get better anytime soon.
