He almost certainly did it but the police statement dropping the case mentions her pulling out AND new evidence coming to light yet unless the r*pe kink theory is true and she was actually hacked I have no idea what that new evidence could even really be that would overcome the video and the audio.
That all said this situation is incredibly funny. I've never seen Redditors be so chuddy before with all the vague allusions to the Twitter accounts from "places that have no women's rights".

Her recording it means either it happened multiple times or it really was some kind of roleplay, but I doubt it. In either case I don't think she was hacked, she's just a 21st century women, one moment she wants to destroy his life, the other she wants his babies.
I don't really understand why United are doing this though, yeah he's an asset both on the pitch and in terms of value, but why risk him disrupting the dressing room? There's gotta be people who have a problem with him, the women's team can potentially cause problems etc. Just farm him out on loan somewhere and then try to offload him for a few mil.

Chances are most of the dressing room don't care (it's not my business) and those who do care are probably split between let's help him improve (I see this copium most used for Bruno) and people who think "gaffer's okay'd him so let's get on with it". The other half of the copium I see is that he'll be hated by Rashford types (assuming Rashford is genuinely who he presents himself as) but it's pretty much only Rashford himself publicly in the position.
In regards to the women's team, this may just be fan banter but it's viewed that the only reason United even has a women's team is that people were giving them shit for not having one and there are the same dynamics of I don't care | Let's help him (or really his now wife) improve | Guy's above okay'd him so whatever, that goes on in the men's team besides but with presumably a lot more Rashford type views.
Basically, I think they're predicting the dressing room won't be an issue. It's therefore purely monetary in their eyes and even if they did try to ship him away for a fee to a lot of the more "passionate" people against him it'll essentially be them reforming him anyway and giving him a path back to football besides. If so no need to lose the asset ourselves. At least that's what I think they're thinking.
