Firstly, “c*nt” isn't such a common insult in these parts. Not as much as in Australia or England.

Secondly, South Africans are typically very cautious about dropping in a racial modifier in front of an insult. That can land you in some serious hot water here.

I could be wrong, but it's very possible it was just a misunderstanding. The word “kant” which means “side” in Africans sounds exactly like “c*nt” phonetically, but I'm struggling to think of an Afrikaans word that would precede “kant” that sound like “white” in English.

Redditors are suddenly supportive of innocence before being proven guilty of an accusation of racism:

If true it certainly is shameful and deserves punishment. However, before people run Bongi's name through the mud and declare him guilty, perhaps clear evidence should be heard and sort after first? I get emotions are high but a serious accusations deserves a serious investigation before the pitch forks are taken out.
