The Football Association is looking into a video which showed Mykhailo Mudryk using the N-word in a TikTok video.

Mudryk, 22, posted the now deleted video in July 2022.

The Ukrainian, who joined Chelsea for an initial £62million earlier this month, has issued an apology after the footage emerged.

Mudryk was reciting a 2017 freestyle rap by American artist Lil Baby which contained the N-word.

The FA will now decide if Mudryk should be punished for the video which has been viewed over 214,000 times.

Mudryk's representatives issued an apology after the video emerged on Monday night.

"Mykhailo is deeply sorry for any offence caused," Mudryk's representative said in a statement.

"While his intention was solely to recite lyrics of a song, Mykhailo regrets his decision and wholeheartedly accepts it was not appropriate."

The FA has previously punished players for historic social media posts which were seen to have brought the game into disrepute.

Middlesbrough's Marc Bola was punished earlier this year over a tweet he posted when he was just 14 years old.

Bola, then aged 24, was given a warning and ordered to complete an education course over a homophobic social media post.

Similarly, an investigation was opened up in 2021 when a past tweet from Jarrod Bowen was discovered to have used offensive racist terminology.

Bowen also received a warning and told to complete an education course for using the N-word in a tweet when he was just 15 years old.

Andre Gray was given a four-match ban in 2016 for homophobic comments made on social media in 2012.

The then-Burnley forward was fined £25,000 and ordered to attend an FA education course following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has been forced to issue an apology after he used the N-word in a social media video for fans.

The 22 year old used the racial slur in a TikTok clip which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

He was apparently reciting lyrics from the hit song Freestyle by US rapper Lil Baby.

Mudryk’s representative told The Sun: “Mykhailo is deeply sorry for any offence caused by the video posted on his TikTok account last July.

“Whilst his intention was solely to recite lyrics of a song, Mykhailo regrets his decision and wholeheartedly accepts it was not appropriate. The video has since been removed.”

"The video has since been removed.”

Fans have criticised the player for his use of the word.

Football anti-racism group Kick It Out said: ““Kick It Out condemns the use of all racial slurs, including the N-word irrespective of context.

“The N-word is deeply offensive and the use of this term by high-profile figures in football can only serve to alienate people from the game.

“It is important that footballers use their significant platform in a positive way, and we’re encouraged to see that Mykhailo Mudryk has acknowledged the hurt caused by his use of this offensive slur.”

In the clip, Mudryk appears alongside a pal and they repeat the line from the hit track. The full track features the use of the N-word a total of 16 times.

For some context when he just didn't want to get the vaccine last year the Australian government threw a hissy fit and deported him before he could destroy all competition. More recently his father stood next to a guy with a Russian flag which has the Ukraineshills spazzing out. Novac is 35 years old at this point so there's a full decade or more of resentment built up from him dominating + general slavaphobia. Be ready for more drama when he can't get to the US Open because our r-slur country still requires Vax for entry.

Anyway, I'm celebrating because I fricking despise Tsitsipas. I just hate him. The crowd's behavior was repulsive. Lord willing the Turks will glass the 3rd world gravel pit those frickers flew in from.

Threads are all pretty jannied:

Holmes v Frazier [1983] (brief commentary inside)

If you don’t watch a lot of boxing or Larry Holmes matches, then you may be surprised at how this fight develops. After the first knockdown, Holmes backs Frazier into the rope and beats him both ferociously and with restraint so as to not murder him.

Show this to your friends who say they could definitely go five minutes in the ring with [insert famous boxer].
