I dont agree with the ice cream analogy and neither will most Americans. If there are only 3 flavors that means chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. If that was the most desirable range of selection, that's all ice cream shops would serve. But every ice cream shop has a wide variety of selections, like pistachio, rum raison, and some exotic flavors. The last time I went to Baskin-Robins I got the chicken 'n' waffles flavor. It was super weird (especially the "chicken bits") and not something i would get again, but i was happy I got to try something new and left satisfied. The right attitude to have is, "you know what? Tehyre all good."

The pervasive thought in the back of your mind while eating it though is that you could have something better. It’s right there at the counter. It’s accessible and nothing will stop me from having it. This same idea has ruined relationships for me and isn’t healthy and has led me to cheat and do other morally wrong things. It’s never once led to more happiness.

If you can't analyze your options, evaluate them, and then make a decisive choice that you can be happy with - because you're constantly second-guessing yourself that something else might be better - you need a master to tell you what to do since clearly decision-making is too hard for you.

Nah man I’m gonna take his side on this. I don’t think hot people are inherently less decisive, but I think if you have an indecisive personality already, and people give you more leniency/attention because you’re attractive, it’s harder to “settle,” even when settling is actually optimal.
I don’t think my recent breakup was an impulse because I had better choices out there, but I think knowing that I definitely won’t be alone made it easier to rip the bandaid off. My ex is struggling though. I think she was equally unhappy in the relationship toward the end, but has a hard time accepting that she’s going to find someone a lot more supportive than I was.
