Looking at the IT stuff (not phones) left to right: Apple tablet, Apple, HP, non-Apple? tablet, closed non-Apple, Lenovo (with crumpled post-it, nice!), maybe older Apple (glossy screen = trash in any case)
Of these 7 items the tablets and the glossy at least make me wonder if they know what they're doing. Also in the last picture, wtf is going on with that head in the background? A gourd in human form?

It's a journal club: they read papers in academic journals and discuss them, mostly as a social thing. They're not doing leetcode on their cool g*mer laptops or whatever tf neurodivergent engineers think you should use a computer for.
