Flight attendant claims moms do all the child wrangling while dads sit in a different row with no kids having time of their lives

I'm not questioning that moms do more with their kids at the airport/on planes…but I travel enough (heck most people travel enough) to think this person is being a bit hyperbolic.

She tries to weasel with the “not all dads” line.

I fly for work at least twice a month, and usually dads appear to be doing a lot of the kid stuff. They aren't just casually lounging on their own while moms do all the work.

I travel a shit ton for work and usually they're in different rows because airlines are shit at putting everyone together unless you buy well in advance. But the odd one out always asks the person if they can switch seats and most the time the person is more than willing

I'm surprised a flight attendant wouldn't mention this tbh, but it's a common enough problem and flight attendants usually help with it by offering the person free alcohol if they move

Even if it were mostly true it says more about women always ending up with dudes who dont give a frick about them. I swear they do it on purpose just so they can make sure they remain the innocent victim their whole life

No they're not lmao. But you do have to pay for it, either by paying for seat selection or by not buying a steerage ("basic economy") ticket. People are cheap so they don't pay for it, then they b-word that they didn't get what they didn't pay for.

You just described them being shit at putting families together but made it sound like you disagreed with me

But you also can't always pay for it, bottom of the barrel frequent fliers even get to reserve their seats which can cause problems. Not to mention a good amount of planes are 2x2

I also travel a lot for work and for leisure but the real reason is bc a lot of airlines are charging money to select seats. So if you're traveling as a family, you might pay for your wife and children's seats so they can sit together while you take the hit and get automatically assigned to some random middle seat. 9/10 times, mommy would rather sit with the kids than between two fat fricks.

Yea exactly so I'd expect this flight attendant to blame her shitty capitalism company she works for
