Terms used by the kinds of people who stay in unhappy marriages "for the kids."

/u/timofey-pnin

Literally the best thing to do

!biofoids !fellas Did you know that children of divorced parents do as poorly as those with moderately abusive parents? Unless your spouse is beating them or you more than occasionally it's statistically better to stay

I consider these homes more broken than the ones where the parents can amicably split and coparent like mature adults

/u/redwolf1219

That's dumb because kids who parents "amicably split" do worse than the ones who parents love them enough to stay together.

Anyone traumatized by something as minor as a divorce was always too weak to make it tbh. Absolute skill issue.

If your name starts with "Fitz-" then you are of a bastard lineage.

It used to only mean "son of" but culturally shifted to Bastard.

/u/Uhhyt231 we use words that have proper definitions, because words are the basis of society. Also, don't start half yoursentences with Like, it displays your poor diction.

I understand the first and last one, but broken home is still accurate in most of the cases it is used.

/u/Cupsandicequeen

But it's not. My home is whole, my kids life is whole. They'd be completely stunted if we stayed in that lazy environment

I seriously doubt it. Even a bad father is better than no father and no father is better than a series of boyfriends

"Bastard" feels too old-fashioned, so I say "fatherless"

And we have all these terms for it because it's a bad thing

You know for as often as women talk about how we could crush their skulls with our bare hands, they sure seem to forget sometimes that we could crush their skulls with our bare hands.
