All I know, though, is that being "invisible/ignored/forgotten" is an incredibly insidious form of oppression. No, I was never hated or bullied for being ace. Because nobody knew I was ace growing up. I didn't know I was ace. We never got taught about asexuality, and it continues to be given little to no representation in the media.
