Younger generations take care of older generations. A declining birthrate sets a society up for collapse decades down the line when the current working class is too old to keep working. 30 years from now they might just have to just kill off all of the millennials to keep developed countries sustainable. That or just allow us to fester in our own shit and piss because there aren't enough people to change our adult diapers.

It's not even just the diaper changing explicit care, it's feeding the machine and keeping the economy and infrastructure going that enables elder care and enables the youth to do stuff we do now. You need the imaginary social security number to keep going up or things start puttering out.
