For real, the handmaids in the show are r*ped and forced to do surrogacy. At no point in the first 2 seasons we see any of them (not even the main character) willing to do an abortion, what rips them apart is having to be separated from their kids after ending the breastfeeding period, and occasionally watching from afar their kids being raised by their former masters.
