I feel like /r/childfree is like that toaster green text. They don't want to have kids for selfish reasons and found a community that validated their views. And now it's almost developed into a weird extinction cult where having kids is morally wrong.
There's nothing selfish about not having children (selfish against who?). It's more that they would like children but the thought of it scares them so they double down on pretending to choose not to have children and the anger comes from that thought in the back of their heads that actually they wouldn't mind some kids of their own.
