She can't drive anymore - her license was taken away from her. That was part of the dementia diagnosis.

In her mind, it's my fault she lost her license because I'm the one that went with her to the gerontologist (dad was too scared).

There was a lot of nastiness there, and more threats of killing herself. I don't expect anything different, I just sometimes wish it was.

That's just sad. Dementia can really ruin a person and make them cruel or even violent.

Yeah. They probably had a fraught relationship all along, but if the woman has dementia, she's not the same person she used to be. Her mind is crumbling, that's why all the complaining etc. It's sad, and it's difficult for everyone.
