It just doesn't make sense as a setting. If men got together and decided we would harvest all women at age 35 as food, there would be absolutely nothing they could do about it. They couldn't even hide.

There would be a lot of vague hand waves and unanswered questions. Normally modern fiction has to tone down r*pe by about 70% from real life, but this would probably need a 90-99% depending on what they went for.
