Exactly. They're the ones who insist on making the distinction, because they treat what happens to one woman as representing womenkind. If they didn't need to identify with victims, workers, characters, etc. to have empathy for them, the distinction wouldn't be nearly as important.
It's really a foid issue not a women issue, though.
