It is one of the main vehicles for socializing young men into aggression. This ends up being one of those situations where equality is more bad: to be 'competitive' in the public eye, women athletes have to evince similar levels of aggression.

Not a single one of these people have played sports, it's literally all just stereotypes and their imaginings. Outside of basketball most girls sports I've been involved in have been super chill.
