about time a law firm steps up where you can download and print general terms to handout to random encounters where they have to either stop recording or agree to a horrendous fee automatically in case they go on recording you and said law firm will represent you in court.
lmao /u/ephikles over here copying sov cits and their "if you arrest me I will fine you one MILLION dollars" plan
its funny how this is considered creepy tech, butt not your cellphone/alexa thats always listening to you/cyberstalking you. These same people.probably uploaded hundreds of pictures of themselves along with their friends and family directly to the internet and "share" their location with friends for "safety". Lol
These same idiots will install a weather app on their phone and give it access to their current location (because they literally cannot be bothered to just punch their home city in) and from that point forward they'll upload a full recording of their exact location every minute for years, allowing some random company to track their every movement.
They'll also upload hundreds or even thousands of pictures of themselves to social media, including photos that contain details about where they are and who they're with. They'll accept terms and conditions allowing the company to use facial recognition software to basically track connections, so Meta knows exactly who you went out to drinks with last Friday. Most of these photos even get posted publicly, so it's not just Meta/Google that have access to them.
Yet they pretend to care about shit like this. It's just so pointless.
they also get everyones voice print, so even if ypu deciee to go off the reservation, just speaking near a microphone thats on the mass surveillance network is enough for them to trace you having been near that device's location even if its got nothjng to do with you.
yeah, bc i dont have an Alexa and i diaabled all that shit on my phone. Yourr naive if you dont think that Aleca's and other smart appliances dont listen to you by defualt for "enhanced user experiences" and "ad suggestions". Even fridges and tvs are doing that now

there's no evidence of that at all yet despite it being around for a decade .
the only thing that has happened was someone discovered their Samsung TV, after being voice-activated with a command shared the recording with a 3rd party text-to-speech service (because Samsung didnt have their own). Shitty TVs/fridges shouldn't be trusted. But saying your Alexa and iPhones are cyberstalking you is a bit hysterical
the wake word is entirely local, it uses a separate low-power chip to listen for the word, it is not connected to the internet. The full system doesnt turn on until after that chip is activated by the word. That was the privacy idea from day 1
the second link says the recordings after the wake world are uploaded to Amazon (which isn't surprising to me)
you're just sending me the same things, saying "your voice-activated service records my voice when I say 'Siri'/'Alexa', and uploads the audio, therefore I'm being cyberstalked" = hysterical
dont explicitly use those services if you dont want it uploaded

You know for as often as women talk about how we could crush their skulls with our bare hands, they sure seem to forget sometimes that we could crush their skulls with our bare hands.

neither your phone or Alexa is constantly listening to you
those voice services are hardwired to listen for a single command like ("Siri" or "Alexa") before the mic starts recording

in order for it to even work right has to always be listening for rhe wake word.

even wapo(owned by bezos) admit that its used to track consumers

they are listening and recording all the time, theres no good reason for me or anyone to trust otherwise.
