The reality is, people who are not the same skin colour, sexual orientation, gender, lifestyle, size, physical ability, etc etc, than you, Exist. They always have, and always will.
Culture including people with different characteristics to you IS NOT A SLIGHT. They are not doing it to offend you, or to "gaslamp you" or whatever nonsense the Anti Woke Brigade has come up with this week. These characters are being created so that the real human beings who have those differences, have someone to look at and go "Hey this guy's like me!" That's it. That's the whole thing. It's just about making everybody feel welcome.

I don't have a stake in MTG but woke stuff is a good move for quick money. As a business owner, you can attract a very wide, loud audience to your product who will just absolutely devour it. Problem is, that audience is fairweather. They'll drop you when enough antagonizers convince them you've failed the purity test or otherwise just find the new popular thing. By then, you've sold your stake in the company and ran off with the money, the True Believers (like this maro guy seems to be) are left holding the bag with their reputation quartered, and your brand needs to be put on ice until you can reinvent it in the next relevant cycle.
Financially, a better move than just catering to the meandering number of True Fans who are just dorks for your stuff.
