My solution to fixing the fimir is to make the a eusocial species with highly specialized roles for each long-lived individual. Except that they're still suffering from a long string of disasters and severely underpopulated. They're not male feminists but they do snatch children and pregnant women so they can steal their babies and then dump the women back at the edge of town with mangled memories of their time among the fimir once they've given. Any means is justified to fill the gap in their society. In addition, and because the fomorians were a race of weird feral freaks, mutants of every race live amongst the fimir. They have ogres they pay to fulfill certain roles in their society. They also wipe out entire beastmen tribes so they can steal their children. Childcatcher is a unit type. Also they have creepy puppet constructs to fulfill certain roles because I want to put creepy puppets in.
