I don't get the appeal of Trench Crusade, it's just grimdark on top of grimdark, like priming a miniature black, then shading it with nuln oil and highlighting it with agrax earthshade. Where's the fun? 40k can be r-slurred-dark but still have fun things like Orkz and the Necrons, Dark Eldar and Chaos characters who act like Saturday morning cartoon villains. Is there a Trench version of Trazyn, Alpha Legion and Tzeentch cultists doing epic pranks on everybody and/or each other?
Did the Blood Ravens already visit the world of Trench Crusade and "borrow" whatever passes for S O V L amongst their misbegotten kind?

Yeah to me it just looks like some Siege of Vraak clone and all that officially exists is some cool concept art and maybe a pdf of unit stats? Like they don't even have models for anything but have made 5 million on kickstarter before they purged all the "chuds" that were looking for an alternative to "wokehammer 40k."
But now supposedly they hired a leftoid community manager (shocker) and theyre trying to cater to the "demons are actually the good guys" crowd.
Oh and they just released this Official Map which looks fricking terrible. Like someone spent an afternoon on Inkarnate.
Like I thought this was supposed to take place in the 1400s or something but map looks like a very inaccurate 1900s.
Oh and the new crowd they're catering to is already calling them racist against muslims lmao.

IIRC the 1400s part is backstory, and the actual game is supposed to be set in an alternate WWI-era after a few hundred years of demons invading the Middle East, or something like that.
I guess they have STLs since this was linked from the "store" page on the official Trench Crusade site.
