Yes, in fact, I don't know if there is a religion whose meditation forms don't have risks. Simple mindfulness can lead to psychosis, although that's rare. A simple Jesus prayer won't hurt you either. Still, just like any other religion, there are a ton of monasteries and churches around the world, a large percentage of them with online contacts, where one can seek guidance. Although it's amusing that they might tell you "Don't read Philokalia." but then they go sell it in their stores, making it easily available to anyone.
