It seems pretty clear that Valve does not like too iterate but prefers too revolutionize. The only time Valve wants too create a part 2 for something is when part 2 is a clear and undeniable upgrade over part 1.
Taking into account that the ps5 has been less of an upgrade over the ps4 than the ps4 was over the ps3, it feels pretty clear that valve would be okay with just selling Steam deck's for 10 years rather than replace it with something that is not unquestionably superior.
Valve also considers too OLED version of the steam deck too not be a next generation upgrade but rather what they would have preferred the steam deck too be from the beginning. They also missed out on something called VRR that you can read about in the article link.
Conclusion:
Valve chads only want too create new high quality things. They don't want too create something that is just a little iterative improvement. So no 2 or 3 year sequel. Only 10-12 years later sequel when the technology is completely different.
Orange box released is 2007 so they are most certainly overdue for an orange box 2.
