The fact devs call that game remake just show how confident they are gaymers are cretins. Like resident evil 2 on ps4 is remake, ff7 r is remake even Yakuza kiwami is remake but last of us part 1 is just transferring all assets to new engine. Gayming and internet should had never been mainstream

It’s more about giving devs motivation to release half assed products. Shadow of colossus was more of a remake than last of us part 1 and they didn’t even put full price back than. Sony told the new 70 buks price (80 euro in my country) is that it’s harder to do ps5 games but to make that part one they barely put any effort. So the point is publishers and devs needs to dance for the bucks. I put around 1 grand in playstation games a year but I won’t buy any 70 buks game if it’s not build from scratch as next gen game.
Also I wouldn’t buy part one even if it was 20 buks. Part one got seriously on my nerves with all the slow downs and unskipable small cutscenes like when enemy scripted grabs you
