Is this where I can talk about how much I hated BotW? Everyone said it was the best game ever so I went in blind, bought a Wii U just to play it and hated every minute.
I assumed that finishing the floating dungeons and going to the centre of the map would signal the half-way point in the game but no you fight Ganon and then the game's over.
The dungeons are also shit, small and all have exactly the same puzzles.
The "mechanics" are dumb and instead of being integrated into the world they're put into these unfinished sandbox labs. Super lazy.
There's no excitement and the story is shit.
It's cartoonish but still runs like shit and looks terrible.
Compare it to OoT where the first four dungeons are all completely different and are just a teaser for the rest of the game.
I didn't hate BotW but I had pretty much all the same complaints. I also hated the breakable weapons, and while I enjoyed wandering the world map a lot, I hated that even minor enemies had to be taken seriously in combat. Running into a group of Bokoblins would seriously break up the flow of exploration because you couldn't just hack through them like trash mobs in the past. And I didn't mind the shrine puzzles but I wish they would have been used to create a set of traditional Zelda dungeons/puzzles rather than a million disjointed, isolated spots.

No you're right, Ive said the same thing since it launched.
I would just rather have a few dense well designed things than 1000 sparsely populated shitty mini puzzles
