i think i've bitched about this before here, but this shit kind of killed TES for me. a big part of why i loved morrowind was the strange setting. giant mushroom houses, giant crab buildings, the ghostfence, public transit bugs, exotic bonemold armor, etc. every game since has been as aggressively generic as possible and i'm certainly not playing this shit for bethesda's compelling game mechanics (lol)

Hammerfell IMO. Hammerfell already has a chosen one prophecy in the HoonDing, and sword-singing, which can easily be translated into video game mechanics. They'll completely butcher the lore surrounding it, but they won't care.

Reasons why TES6 should be in Alinor:
1. Cons of other provinces
Cyrodiil, Skyrim, Morrowind, and Hammerfell have their own games (also Morrowind got nuked and everyone left)
High Rock is mostly white people and, looking at the demographic of Starfield NPCs, I doubt they would want to do a white province
People are naturally put off by furries, so it would be a bad business decision to make the game set in Elsweyr
Black Marsh... see above, also aztec lizards might make some people mad. Personally, I think it would be a cool setting.
Akavir, Yokuda, etc.... who fricking cares? The Altmer probably killed them all anyway.
2. Pros of Alinor
People love killing elves and Alinor is full of nazi elves. It would basically be like a Wolfenstein game for them.
Alinor is mostly unaffected by the outcome of the Skyrim civil war, and there's even evidence that they wanted Ulfric to win.
Sloads and Maormer, and there could be a DLC in Pyandonea
We could see the outcome of Summerset after the Oblivion Crisis
Bethesda doesn't have to worry about diversity since most of the characters will be yellow aliens
